The company started in 1858 by Jean Baptiste who started making pipes in Metz, France. It was until 1960, the time where Butz Choiquin started exporting and won Gold Cup of French Good Taste and several other awards.

Throughout the years of the company, it has changed hands and landed in the hands of Fabien Guichon in year 2002 which continues its tradition and development of Butz Choquin pipes.
